Reflecting back on this course I can say that this class has helped me become a better writer. I've had to write about things and topics that I normally don't write about or have a very difficult time writing about them. It's made me more comfortable and more experienced writer, and has helped me open up to write about some of my more personal experiences. I've also really enjoyed this course because I've gotten to use some personal experiences that have changed my life in my writing and I really enjoyed writing about them because I was able to share how certain things made me feel and how certain events shaped me to other people. In addition to enjoying writing about this class, I also learned a ton. I learned how to change tones and voices throughout my papers, I've polished up my skills on writing other papers such as research papers, rhetorical analysis and have learned how to use all of my resources at the university in order to research certain topics. Some things that really helped me do well in this course was the peer review, and the teacher conferences about our papers. They really helped because I could get a whole different set of opinions on my paper to see what needs to be fixed in order for the paper to be the best it could be, and to also see what parts of my writing I need to improve on. I also liked the fact that we had a ample amount of time to do our projects so nothing was rushed and we could do our best work on each and every paper. It also gave us time to really think about what we wanted to write about and gave us time to get our work reviewed before we turned it in. The rough drafts that were due before we turned in our final draft of our projects were very helpful because it kept us on track and made sure that we were working on our paper and didn't allow us to wait till the last second to work on our project and turn in a low quality assignment. Because of this class I was able to advance as a writer and have a deeper understanding of the many components of rhetorical analysis than I had previously. I also learnt from my mistakes in each project and was able to improve my subsequent projects by rectifying them and incorporating feedback. During this course, I utilized some APA format for the first time and was able to practically master it by the conclusion of Project 3, which will be important because this is a format that Information technology majors would use. I felt the APA style was more difficult than the MLA format I had previously used, but I am pleased I was exposed to it and became proficient in its application. Overall, I can say that I really did learn a lot from this class and really did enjoy it.
